reduce consumption decreases the risk of cancer and heart disease, but also global warming.
LONDON - A simple way to pamper yourself and be environmentally sound? Serve a little 'less meat. It is better for our health but also for the whole world: 18 percent of greenhouse gases is derived from all activities related to the breeding of animals used for meat, so reducing fuel consumption would have an impact not just on well global warming.
less meat for themselves and for the planet.
reduce consumption decreases the risk of cancer and heart disease, but also global warming.
HEALTH - The appeal comes from the cardiologists meeting in Barcelona for the European Society of Cardiology Congress, describing: "Eat beef and pork in large amount increases by about 30 per cent risk of dying because of cardiovascular disease or cancer. The World Cancer Research Fund and American Institute for Cancer Research have shown in 500 grams a week the maximum consumption of red meat. " The World Health Organization is even more cautious about a recommended intake of 300 grams of red meat (fresh or preserved) at week 45, 50 grams al giorno.
AMBIENTE – I «danni» della troppa carne rossa però do not stop at the level of the individual: as explained cardiologists in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bthe unbridled consumption that characterizes Western societies is tied hand in glove with global warming. Changes in climate, in turn, are responsible for numerous human health problems, from respiratory diseases to malnutrition, will increase with the expansion of the hot areas and desertified. "Human diseases and global warming are definitely related, in many ways - write the cardiologists in the document distributed at the conference -. The WHO and many medical associations are taking this into account in their recommendations, but the problem is large and everyone must do their part. It is difficult interventions at the level of political energy, agricultural, urban or transport can be successful if the whole population is not aware of the risks associated with climate change. " Information and awareness are therefore essential. Also because according to research just out of Food Research International, the circle will end up close: with the increase in average temperatures, the quality of meat is likely to worsen because many farm animals suffer from the heat and when they live at high temperatures ( for the pig, for example, the thermometer should not exceed 31 degrees) give meat darker, harder, less greasy and tasty. Less good, in fact. I probably should not be forced to give up meat because of this, but think about it first to reduce consumption to avoid unpleasant consequences for us and the planet. These are small gestures that count: Eat less meat, but choose foods that do not have to travel thousands of miles before arriving on our table. A diet eco-friendly, in short, that help the world feel a bit 'better and would keep us healthier.

Experts Use: Ok vegetarian diet
official pronouncement of the American Dietetic Association, but with some caveats.
But to be studied well and never improvised, especially for children.
LONDON - The paper has a certain weight. It is indeed the word of the American Dietetic Association, the journal of the association has taken a position on a vegetarian diet with some sort of official statement on the subject. That sounds something like "carefully planned vegetarian diets are healthful, nutritionally balanced and offer benefits for the prevention and treatment of diseases such as cancer, obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. If they are well designed, are appropriate in all stages of life and can be also suitable for pregnant women, children and adolescents. " NO
the sudden - this side of the ocean is almost entirely agree Carlo Cannella, president of the National Research Institute for Food and Nutrition, who comments: "Vegetarian diets are definitely positive for the health and also safe, as long as you follow specific criteria. That can not be improvised, because they require knowledge that not everyone: those who want to take this path should be followed by a physician or by someone competent. Each can then learn to manage their own power, but do not rely on praticoni or let go for DIY. "
CHILDREN - The risk of deficiencies exist in fact eliminating meat, fish and, in most versions of "hard", even dairy products. For this Cinnamon calls for caution when it comes to children: "With the kids would go real slow. I fear a lot of extremism, especially the parents who take radical positions and requiring children, even very small, restrictive diets that may lead to an unbalanced diet, with all the attendant risks during a sensitive period as that of growth. For more - continues Cinnamon - the vegetarian diet involves the consumption of higher amounts of food, because foods that make nutrition a density lower. A similar scheme may thus be more difficult to follow in childhood. "
ADVANTAGES - Caution then with the smaller, but apart from that the expert Italian wedding the U.S. position: "If well conducted, vegetarian diets are not hazardous. The risk of marginal deficiencies and relates more nutrients such as vitamin B12 which is hard to find in foods allowed: for example, there is tofu or mushrooms, but it is quite unusual to consume large quantities of these foods, "says Cannella. Go ahead then, if it is followed by an expert telling us what and how to introduce in daily life. The benefits are not few, as explained by the American Dietetic Association, "Vegetarians have a lower average body mass index, a lower risk of high cholesterol, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Their diet contains low levels of cholesterol and saturated fats and instead brings large amounts of fiber, vitamins C and E, magnesium and potassium, flavonoids, carotenoids, folate - U.S. experts write -. These differences may explain some of the nutritional benefits of a vegetarian diet varied and balanced, which is also associated with a lower probability of cancer. "

Maplestory How To Get Moon Stone Ring
LESS CANCER AMONG VEGETARIANS.
long and systematic research in the UK confirms the estimates: who avoids the meat has 12% less chance of becoming ill, 45% for leukemia. LONDON - It 's a popular cliche: eat more fruits and vegetables is good for health. Now a major study reveals that not only what is true, but who does a vegetarian diet is less likely to get cancer than those who make a diet of meat. It is not the first time that such a statement comes from the international scientific community: the novelty, however, is that there had never been a study so broad and sustained on the issue. The results are impressive: vegetarians have 45 percent less likely to get cancer of the blood and a 12 per cent less of getting any type of cancer compared to those who make a carnivorous diet.
Published in British Journal of Cancer and resumed today, with great relief by the British national press, the study followed the health status of 61 000 persons over 12 years. "Previous research had indicated that the meat may increase the risk of bowel cancer, so our results have appeared plausible from this point of view," says the Guardian newspaper in London, Dr. Naomi Allen, a researcher at the Cancer Research at Oxford University and co-author of the report. "But we do not know why the cancer of the blood has a lower incidence in vegetarians." The difference, a 45 percent chance of getting less, it is huge, and covers both the leukemia and other types of blood cancer. Not only that, but who eats vegetables, fruits and fish, avoiding meat, also 12 percent lower risk of getting any other type of cancer, says research.
"These data are significant," says Dr. Allen, "although it should be taken with a little 'cautious because this is the first comprehensive study of its kind in this area. We need to make other and learn more. For example, we discover what aspect of a diet of vegetables, fruit and fish protects against cancer. And we need to determine how much positive influence on a vegetarian diet, as well as what affects one of meat. "The study is part of a long-term international project called" European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition ", which will go on, at Oxford and other centers of cancer research.
Other studies have already shown that eating meat anyway, or at least eat too much, it can be harmful. not only for the health of humans, to begin with, but also for that of the planet: 'Last year a report by the UN Commission on Climate Change Climate urged to give up meat at least once a week since the production of meat, or herds of cattle, produces only one fifth of emissions of harmful gases. A report by the World Cancer Research Fund, dua nni ago, has recommended not to eat over 300 grams of meat per week because of the relationship between a highly carnivorous diet and bowel cancer. And in 2005 a study funded by the UK Medical Research Council and the International Agency for Research on Cancer, found that eating two servings of meat a day, the equivalent of a sandwich with bacon and a steak, increases of 35 percent the risk of bowel cancer.

Driffrence Between Record And Reason
MEAT FOR ALL.
Raitre, REPORT 17.05.2009
Raitre, REPORT 17.05.2009
In Italy we are 60 million people and consume about a hundred pounds of meat apiece, mostly as in Europe and the United States . And so to satisfy our appetites about 500 million chickens slaughtered each year, 4 million cattle and 13 million pigs, but not enough for us because we import the rest. But we live on planet Earth in 6 billion and a half now and already many are starving, others who would like the meat but they can not afford it. In a few years will become 10 billion, you can produce meat for everyone? Some say that it would be suicide on the planet. FAO, UN, the IPCC warns that 18% of the greenhouse gases that fuel climate change is the result of the herds, which beat all other human activities, including emissions of the entire fleet on the planet. To produce a kilo of beef is consumed 15,000 liters of water and grain to ten times the weight of the animal - cereals that could feed many more people - not enough. Over half the antibiotics produced are used for livestock use. The disease in factory farms increase, but then also increase strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and human disease by being as coronary heart disease, diabetes, 'obesity also result from excessive consumption of animal foods. Not to mention the problem of sewage and mountains of excrement that pollute the waters and we do not know where to put. The paradox is that the more you produce meat at low cost, thanks to this model of industrialized farming, and the higher the cost to the environment, and agriculture is the first casualty of an economic paradigm that no longer holds. Yet solutions do exist, however, should be implemented now, before it is too late. WATCH THE EPISODE 'MEAT FOR ALL'.
